10 Beautiful Cold Feet: Alaskan Wildlife

WELCOME

We are a small congregation of not more than 40 people. We are located in the basement of a 15th story building where 95% of the town's residence live. To enter or leave our town you must drive through a 2 1/2 mile tunnel that is shared by the railroad on a set time and our curfew is before midnight. It is definitely a gated community! The town of Whittier has a full-time population around 200 people. We only have 2 seasons. In the winter we get lots of snow and hurricane blizzard winds. In the summer we get lots of rain, as we are located in The Arctic Rainforest. Also, avalanches are common here in our town. It can block the tunnel. But the city of Whittier clears it asap. Also, in the winter we don't get direct sunlight due to the tall proximity of the mountains. It is indeed a unique place to live and do church. But we do find ways to stay sane, most importanly have fun, and we are enjoying it! Please feel free to comment, read our updates, and visit us.
